... What things would u change? Would u add anything or remove anything? I'd bring back the boxes for brochures and reinvent the Naturals packaging (see my previous posts). I'd introduce a baby care range, i'm sure it would be a hit, everyone knows a new mum or mum-to-be at some point, i'd make brochures free of charge, considering how much profit us reps make for the company i think it would be a wise move as the more brochures we have the more we can sell and free ones means we could order loads! I'd expand the men's stuff, maybe, keyrings, wallets, pens etc. Would be great for xmas sales. More items geared towards the younger generation would be good too, more stuff for boys, clothing, toys etc. And the same for girls aged 7-8, there's items for 5-6 and 10-11 but not much inbetween. I do have other ideas but i think thats enough for now lol.

Avon should provide FREE uniform to all reps, sales leaders & ASMs, i'd keep t shirts for reps & SL & have a smart blouse/shirt for ASM different colour for different levels.
ID badges at the end of the day were going into peoples homes demonstrating we should have some proof of who we are.
I agree with ID badges, it would maybe stop these reps that decide to steal other's territory, they would be more easy to identify. Cant say i'm too keen on the uniform idea though.

The rep t-shirts should be made to fit men and women not just men and the rep bags should have a guy style version, even nowadays avon are basically not encouraging male reps, also more men type samples, aftershave balm, shaving gel etc. Avon really are still behind the times in some respects.

as a mum to a young baby, i'd love avon to have a baby skin care range - similar to johnsons products maybe but with an avon baby trademark scent.
more marketing for male products would be a big thing for me if i was boss, my OH loves the male skincare range and scents - he loves pampering himself when he does the really dull task of shaving!
maybe not free books but considerably cheaper books so we can get more for our money in this current economic climate, plus it would hurt less when some b&$&$)$ denies EVER seeing your book - even though you KNOW you posted it :@
I'd make sure that a better eye was kept on SL's and ASM's. Some of them get away with murder. (none of the lovely people on here of course ) Like making sure that when they sign new reps up they dont tell them to put out books whereever the hell they like, that they are given more thorough and better info, more support, and make sure they are assigned an already free territory. I've had to contact over 6 reps in the last year alone to explain to them that they cant put books out in my areas. I've contacted my ASM each time too and nothing is done to stop it from happening again with the next new rep.
a uniform which they paid for - wouldn't that be gr8.
I agree that the Avon logo should have men and women on it - somehow I think it will put men off.
ID cards - another good idea, but Avon would have to fund them.
They will be selling a care bag for carrying baby stuff in C17, maybe then they will launch a baby range, but I agree, its bound to win over young mums who mainly buy Avon.

I put the baby care range idea to my SL last september and she said she'd put the idea forward, don't know if she did or not, i'm convinced it would be a huge hit. No company could really lose by extended its product range or services, the more the merrier i guess.

I really like the idea of and ID badge or a t-shirt. Anything with our name and the logo or something. As im new to avon and im putting the brochure through every door to find if their interested. By doing that i have poor little old lady's who are interested in avon for getting stuff for family but would like some form of ID as i could be anyone!
Really think they should update a few things pink colour scheme? THE company for women? etc my fiance helps me and he keeps nearly saying 'hello im you avon lady' as the job is so girly as well as the company and the majority of the products.
Which makes me feel like im in a lovely girly job, but i feel sorry for the guys and it really puts men off.
I've only just started but can already say that I would offer more to new reps........we're expected to start building a business from scratch, ie, buying samples, demo products etc etc. My SL gave me 20 cats for Camp 12 and 20 for Camp 13 as well as a calling book, but no doubt this all came out of her own pocket. Considering we pay £15, there isn't anything in return.
I am also surprised to learn that on reading some stuff on sales leadership, you have to recruit 4 people in your 1st campaign as an SL and you get £30.....I had assumed £30 per recruit, but I can't see that it is. In order to make £250 (haven't got the details in front of me so trying to remember) you would need to recruit 32 people or so! Not only then the cost of their catalogues to start them off etc etc.
I think catalogues are quite expensive too........almost cheaper if you have a larger area as I think 15 catalogues are over £4, but yet another 15 are under £2.
i would change the 10% that you recieve from the orders to 20% you are trying to make some money to help you pay rent etc and £8 - £10 at the lowest isnt going to cut it where as avon gets hundreds and thousands from these orders..
I'd say a free avon t-shirt for each rep;
Like the baby care range idea;
Rather than an ID badge I would like to see a pin with just the Avon logo on it. That way it is recognisable when going round the houses but still subtle and recognisable whilst out and about whilst on the bus, in the pub, etc.
I'd cut down on the amount of "corrections" they always seem to have to send us with our invoices....for such a large company, why on earth don't they check things a little more carefully!!!
At the end of the day guys 99.9% of your customers are woman - yea there are SL's and Rep's who are men and it should be fair but Avon's Target Market is women therefore the company strapline is kinda correct!
I would agree I would put the books back in boxes! But I would also add an antibac handwash for the kitchen because there isn't one and toothpaste so I never have to go down those areas of the supermarket!
As a newbie Avon Rep, I agree that we should be issued with some sort of ID, I carry my Avon Branded bag with me and that is the only way that new customers recognise that this is what I do, I am also recognised because I wear a bright pink jacket, which matches the colours of Avon Rep Bags.
A baby range would be great, as so many young mums would buy it.
20 Brochures free for the first 2 campaigns are NOT enough to set anyone up on a business, and the brochures should be free and if not then a lot less. £5 straight out of your comission (just for 20) is a lot to take out, especially when you have the risk of not getting them all back. I for one would be able to reach more customers if I had more brochures to get out in one go!!

With the exception of seasonal products such as sunscreen, I would have the same product availible worldwide-we would sell more. I often window shop the US website. I rep in New Zealand and we do not stock the full range of colour cosmetics even when we get the products in-same thing for the skincare etc. If Avon makes it, we should be able to sell it.
Trouble is - if avon gave out more brochures to new reps, potentially it could mean that the products have to be more expensive.....I have only signed up 7 reps in total - one of those went straight to debt, so avon are out of pocket for all the products they sent her, and another rep never even placed an order - plus if a SL signs up a person, we pay for the brochures ourselves, once that rep has placed an order of at least £78 we get refunded for 40 books in total - if they never place an order, we are out of pocket!!!! Unless avon started footing the cost of the brochures for everyone, it wouldn't work, as us SL would end up being out of pocket even more than we already do lol! they should make the brochures cheaper, but I don't think it's too bad, you can use them for 2 campaigns to get more use out of them, I always do, saves you having to buy as many each time x

I'd take every chemical ingredient out of the beauty products! So many people have allergic reactions to them--including me and I don't feel comfortable selling chemical-based products, but I have to provide for my family somehow...very frustrated. Make Avon green!!!
