Anyone got any funny, interesting or downright strange things happen in their avon life? I had someone from a recent street i newly canvassed write me a little note on the order form basically saying avon are rubbish lol why would someone bother to do that? Rather a waste of their time methinks, kinda made me smile though.

I usually get my black avon bags back, you know to recycle.

I also get all my slips of paper, things like when I was collecting the book and other paperwork I post through the letterboxes.

I was canvassing recently and I received 2 books back, the current one and one from December last year, these retired people do not like to throw things away, she said 'I thought you'd still need it dear'.

I get paperwork back to, gettin bags back would be a good thing. I get samples back, at least i know they're probably not interested. Seems stuff i can reuse they keep.. Stuff i don't really want they give back lol

I've had someone give me the last 5 books back all in one go, really made me laugh though! xxx

I have been trying to deliver an order to an elderly lady in my street every day since last Saturday.

This afternoon Bingo she answered the door! But she didn't have her teeth in and looked shocked at the bag of goodies I was holding (£23 worth). She said she knew nothing about Avon and would never have ordered anything ever! I showed her the order form with her writing etc. on and she looked very confused and said it was nothing to do with her. I came back home muttering under my breath.

Within 10 minutes the doorbell rang and her husband was standing very sheepishly on the doorstep with some money to pay me. I said she really didn't have to have the stuff if she didn't want it but he said she had forgotten all about it and apologised for the confusion. I said I understood (FIL has Alzheimers so very used to unusual happenings!) and thanked him for the money and gave him the bag of bits.

Iv'e had a few people near me give me a brochure i had dropped in a few weeks before. Not the brochure i had returned to collect.

Recently I have had a few customers that have forgotten to leave their books out so i knock and no one answers. so I put a slip through the door to say I'll be back tomorrow. I go back the next day and outside the door is my brochure bag with my flyer and call back slip with no book.

I'm surprised by how many customers give my call back slips back bless them.

I am making a lot of doggie friends lately I seem to attract them lol - you never know who you're going to meet with Avon and a lot of lovely customers too. Maybe Avon should start doing products for pets! lol

After a few months in the business, I got a customer who placed very large orders once each month. ($300+). Needless to say, everytime she called, I got excited! That is until the last time, when she asked me if she could borrow $1,500! She said "I know you have the money because I've purchased that much in the last 3 months.

She is no longer my customer.

I get my black bags back sometimes too, the best one is a lovely little old lady who clips all the Avon articles out of magazines that she see's and leaves them in the brouchure for me.

I have one customer who's a little old lady and she's really slow with a zimmer frame. Every time I deliver her order she takes about 10 minutes to answer the door, and she always makes me follow her to the living room while she gets her purse and asks about the next brochure. Last time I went there she answered the door and her skirt was tucked into her knickers! I didn't want to embarrass her so I didn't say anything, but I had to follow her (reeeaaally slowly) to the living room trying not to laugh!

i've got one customer doesn't open her front door to me. she'll post the brochure through the letter box and normally buys things that will fit through it too. every time i call she croaks "who is it!" through her corrugated glass front door and i have to yell like a moron "AVON" to her (its a busy road too!) and she 9 times out of 10 says "who? kleeneze?" which means i have to shout "AVON!" again. she'll then get me to do some posting and she'll posted back the right amount back :/

Once my customer ordered 2 deodorants. The deal was buy 2 get 1 free. They didn't send me the free one. So, I emailed them and said I am missing my free deodorant. I don't know what happened, but I ended up with 3 free deodorants! lol! I gave one to my customer, then days later I got another deodorant. I gave it to my sister. Then a while later, I got another deodorant!!! But the last one was in a regular sized box! I was thinking Why is this box so light? I opened it and there was one deodorant rolling around by itself! I was laughing and saying What a waste of a box!! It's called an envelope people!! LOL!! Oh well, at least they were all free!! So now when I run out of my deodorant I'm using now I can use the other deodorant. HAhAhA~~

i was due to deliver to a new customer tonite...i sent chris a text message to say i would be around at 7ish...this order was left on the doorstep so i hadnt met chris personally..i got a text back earlier but didnt read it till late as i was at work and always leave my phone in my bag...it noted that chris does not wear clothes in the house or garden and if i had a problem with that chris would cover up....i told my daughter and she said it sounded like a windup...so i trotted off to deliver chris;s order...and there HE stood in all his glory...so i go rabbiting on how i dont half get em dont i..lol...he paid his money and said his mom recommended avon footworks to him for his problem feet....the things we do to earn a few bob eh!!!!!!

I went to visit a customer who ordered way back who i thought might be a potential 'new' customer after recanvassing and she told me that the book i dropped off had got lost but 'is this the one?' (a c3 brochure that wasn't mine) so i offered to take it off her hands, don't think i'll be visiting her again as she did order from me once and put down the wrong product number and then said she won't order again seeing as she didn't receive the right product even though it was her own fault in the first place, you gotta laugh at some folk.

i went round do my deliveries yesterday to find 3 brochures on the doorsteps of those
who didnt leave it out last week. they must of thought the DELIVERY DATE ment the day i'm collecting.. although no orders, they seriously held onto it for like 2 half weeks lol.. those houses i'll have to write the date on the collection day rather than just using my yellow highlighter pen.

I put free samples in every catalogue last time, most had been taken when I collected them, fair enough. But one book I collected, the sample had been taken, the card it was attached to had been put back in and the unsubscription box had been ticked! The cheek!!

This morning an old lady phoned me to tell me not to bother delivering any more catalogues, I put a form with every catalogue giving them the option to tick a box that says not to deliver any more, but she phoned and she was very bitchy about it. You don't win many friends by using "right??" as your every 3rd word. All that attitude because she already gets her's from a family member. Weird old sow.

Yesterday I found a long letter in one telling me all about how her daughter was a rep and she was fully committed to buying fromher blah blah. I really wanted to knock on the door and say "all you needed to do was write on a post-it no more catalogues please" I don't need to know your life story. Nor do I want to hear about how your daughter is taking up valuable customers LOL! My husband said I should do a full on sales call to her and ask how the service is her daughter is providing and make her lots of special offers.

Well this is really a funny thing but I have ALOT of customers who just act stupid. For example tonight I picked up some brochures and some women had crossed my brochure bag instead of crossing the form inside to say no more brochures. WHY OH WHY DO THEY DO IT??

Ive also had another women write all over the brochure bag, if you leave the brochure again I will throw it away!

I get so annoyed i feel like knocking on their door and asking them why they do it? Is it to annoy me or are they just not all there??

That's pretty craptastic vbrown. Some people get bent out of shape about brochures. When all they have to do is leave it on the doorstep if they don't want it If it really bothers them a quick post-it on the outside to say "no more please" why be mean? I shouldn't complain about the letter lady, at least she had the decency to tell me nicely instead of being stupid like those people.

On Sunday evening i dropped some catalogues off, one lady made a point of grabbing her wheelie bin, stomping out of her garden walkway, throwing the book in with an attitude, she took her bin back into her garden and slammed the door, making sure that I saw her do it!
I've just got back from collecting and there was a note on her door saying "Your catalogues have been binned. sorry".
She didn't bloody look sorry on Sunday!
