When a customer gives you an order, you hand them another book, when you deliver the products from the first order to the customer, you also collect the order from the second book you gave them when collecting the first order and give them yet another book and so on so basically everytime you talk to that customer they get another book.
I don't really agree with those tactics as you're pretty much bombarding your customer with books everytime they see you which can reeeally peave some people off, especially husbands who pay for the products lol.
I much rather just take an order and wait for it to arrive before giving any of my customers another brochure.
If I've got any of that wrong or if anyone else can clarify something I've missed, feel free
I don't know what Intel is, so I guess I'm not a member
I know what you mean Karyn, but as a Sales Leader with a 9 month old baby, I really struggle for time. It's also been pointed out to me that the customer is then waiting for 3 weeks for their order all the time, which also means I'm waiting that long for it to be paid for, so it might not work for me after all.
I cant see that working very well because most people think "oh I have to give the rep *£* when she brings the order, I cant afford to order from this book yet" I like to give my customers breathing space inbetween campaigns.
Every time I deliver to customers they always ask when the next book is out - and up until now I have always left it a week before I drop the books off - BUT - as a test I tried the one-stop-selling idea out in one road (on customers who have ordered on every campaign) and I got one order out of seven (usually) regular customers!. Needless to say I will not be doing that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found this worked really well for 2 of my customers and really annoyed my remaining 80 odd customers. In theory it's great as it does save you time. If you are thinking of doing it discuss it with your customers face to face first and see if if there happy with it. I put a note in with my books explaining I would be doin the 1 stop drop and what would happen but I don't think anyone read it, consequently a number of my customers got confused and don't even order from me anymore It does work really well with the 2 customers though. If only the rest of them could have grasped the concept
I personally cant see how it works because like a few of you have said people just get bombarded with books!!
i am thinking of doing it so that i can split my territory in half and do them every other campaign if that makes any sense at all!! That way i wont be out all the time as i have a full time job and a little boy too!!
To friends and family they get a book when they are told lol seriously though i give them each campaign!!
I started that over the short campaigns (split my territory) as I was just wasting my time as people were like 'I've only just had a book' and they were getting a bit fed up. I've decided to carry on that way as most of my customers only order every other campaign anyway. I still give the ones that order every time a book each campaign though. They are bombaded with books initially but it just means they always have a book so when you drop of there order, you collect there next order and give them a new book. That way you see them once instead of 3 times. It does make sense if they understand what your doing.
I do this for part of my territory which is a bit of a distance away.
it works really well, also in another part they will call me or text me an order, i take the order and new book, they text or phone order so on.
they are fine with that.
Just been thinking about doing this for my old workplace. I've been made redundant and the office is 20 miles away - however it is very Avon friendly and it will be worth my while to keep them as customers.
Trying to work out dates etc to get one-stop selling going for this. I won't be able to go more than once every 3 weeks.
I've not tried this as it does sound complicated !
What I do at the moment is if a customer orders, they automatically get a book in with their stuff.
Then I collect it a week later. I like to give them a bit longer as they have become very valuable in terms of commission
The other customers who do not order so often get the books for 3 or 4 days and I don't always give them a book, cos if they didn't order in 1 book, they may not order in the next, so I kinda alternate it a bit.
Then every now and then I do a blitz and everybody gets a book.

sorry to keep asking but I just feel a little confused,
I dont know who my leader is and the girl that came to see me was unable to explain things properly (spanish languge barrer) still this forum has been a great help so far,
my confusion is after putting my first order through which was all fine,
when I got the goods and so on, I also got 2 more campains in spain we were on camp 4 when i orderd my rep said when I get the next camp (5) I can still order from camp 4 ok.
but now ive been sent camp 5 & 6 so do I order from 5 & 6 or 4 & 5 or all three??
hi Spanglish, er not sure how it works in Spain. We can over here order from the current campaign and back order from the LAST BOOK ONLY as well. You can't do two SEPARATE campaign's orders over here (unless you have been with Avon a long time or are in Presidents Club)at the same time or the computer will hold the current order. Assuming you do your order online it should show you the current campaign's order dates and for the next few campaigns, and within the saved order, it should show you whether you can back order within it by allowing you to change the campaign number by the product code.
I do a version of one stop selling which is quick for me but doesn't pressurise the customer or give them the opportunity of refusing a book! I tried traditional one stop selling and got in such a mess as i couldn't do two different books at same time as well as hold goods back/faff about with money, i'd need to be an octopus and have excellent memory/customers saw next book coming and would refuse it. Newbies can't do this re: territory as you mUST canvass three times, doing every house, unless resident tells you not to. When you have an established list you can do one stop selling or my version of it: This is how I do it now but bear in mind you MUST order two campaigns' books in advance:
so, lets say, when you collect campaign 1 book from doorstep (a couple of days before c1 order is due) post campaign 2 book through box at same time. I put note of when order goes in so no customers know when cut off is for each campaign. A week or so later delivery comes. Some will give you c2 order there and then. In your campaign 2 delivery you receive campagn 4 books you have pre-ordered. When you pick up c3 books (again a couple of days, say, before c3 order goes in) you exchange it with c4 books...... Eh voila, they only ever have one book at a time which they keep for three weeks (except in short campaigns which is two) so they have chance to show books to others/get your more sales. Job done with only 2 main calls every campaign.

sorry to confuse: re: newbies i meant to include the comment that they only leave the book for two to three days, to avoid book loss, whilst they are dong their three canvasses.
