Due to not having any time to maintain the Sales Leaders Database, we've decided to offer the position as a part time job opportunity to one of the girls at our local mums club so from now on, anyone wishing to join the database can do so anytime and will have their details included in the search results within 24 hours.
Please note however that now that the database is now being maintained by a part time employee of the forum and not one of the admins, there will be a subscription fee of £12.50
We deeply regret on not being able to offer this as a free service any longer but being mums ourselves and running a busy diner alongside maintaining the forum here, we just couldn't find enough hours in the day. Believe me we tried
Adding to that, it really wasn't fair on new sales leaders either who were waiting a few weeks to get added rather than a few hours because we couldn't find the time to sort through the admin side of things.
The database is a great tool for bringing new Avon leads to Sales leaders so we would prefer to see it grow rather than sitting with blank area codes x

The database is mainly for the following...
1) For girls who have found our forum online and are looking to sign up to Avon to find their local SL.
2) For SL's to contact other SL's if they have a lead in any given postal area.
3) For customers who are looking for their nearest Avon girl to request a book/catalogue (we get a lot of these).
Anyone selling leads must be registered with the info protection thingamybob agency but this is the responsibility of the SL's themselves. We don't buy or sell leads ourselves x

It's really entirely up to yourselves girls, I couldn't say whether or not it was worth it as it may be more effective for some than it is for others it's very postcode dependant x
For instance, girls (or guys) in more highly populated areas are probably more likely to see more coming from it that those in less populated areas. I have an extra 19 in my team, 4 of whom have gone on to become Sales Leaders themselves, probably because I was the only SL on the database who was covering the Falkirk, Stirling and Dunfermline areas where as girls further north of me in the villages have had less of a response.
SL's who went on the database when we had the time to run will stay on there too so no need to worry about that
I wouldn't say we've actually "employed" somebody though. We've more just aquired a helping hand. The girl running the database now is called Joanna, a local single mum who seems to know computers and has more than enough time to maintain it
To be honest it was either that or we would probably end up deleting it as we really couldn't find enough hours in the day to do it ourselves x

Yep pretty much sorry. When the database started over a year ago it was the site admins who were maintaining it but as things have grown since then we just don't have the time to do it anymore x
Hi all, just to add to the discussion, it's probably worth remembering that not only are leads from this site directed to the database, but so are customers.
After checking this months statistics, it turns out that one of our most popular search phrases that people are finding us by is "avon catalogue".
If you also visit this page: http://www.avonfriendsforum.co.uk/avoncatalogue.php you'll notice that customers visiting this site who aren't being currently served by a local rep are also using the database to request a catalogue from their local sales leader so not only does the sales leaders database send leads to their local SL, but also new customers too.
It's been like that for ages, can't believe no ones mentioned it before now lol

The way i was assuming it was going to be was, that any new salesleader wishing to join the database needs to pay anyone who is aready on it does not, but my question was. is it going to be updated to remove peole who r no longer sales leaders?

Hi gals, just to answer everyones questions, the girl who now maintains the database is Jo and SL'S who were already on the database before Jo took on the responsibility of maintaining it will stay on there so not to worry
She'll be emailing everyone on the database this weekend to see who is still an SL and who's not so those who wish to be removed from the search results or don't respond to the email will be withdrawn from the list. We're actively trying to keep the database fresh and up to date.
That said, we're currently looking at a script that sets a time frame for any listing on the SL's database so an email will automatically be sent to SL's once a month or so with two links - one to keep their listing active and one to unsubscribe from the database itself. If no action is taken within a few weeks of the email being sent then the listing will be auto-dropped.
The Viacode Sales Leaders Database if most definitely a part of the Avon Friends Forum so no, it's not connected or associated with any other site other than this one and any leads generated from the database are completely free, the leads contacts you directly so theres no third party in the middle

It'll be £12.50 for the year hun. This is basically to clean the list of any SL's who leave Avon or go back to being reps in that year and don't require being on the database anymore so will make a point of asking to be removed from the search results. We're looking at an automated script at the mo which will do everything automatically for us - just waiting on my O/H finding some time to do it. If it works the way it's supposed to then it'll just be a one off £12.50 x

I am new to your site. and I am trying every avenue to suceed in my business with avon. However I have just paid my £12.50 and did a SL search and found someone in the next postcode area to me yet their website does not exist. I do not have a website advert as yet as it is being designed for me, but dont want to feel like i am missing out with leads who email this person before me if they are no longer active
I am a Sales Leader and I want to join the Database and I want to know if i join this am I gone get more customers on my team. If anyone already join this and gets more customer please tell me.
