Stretch Marks.

It's hard to imagine why anyone would like stretch marks. They're big, purple and make you look like you've been wrestled by a big purple marker pen.

Luckily, through previous personal experience, I can tell you that they are wholly preventable and if you've already had them before you found this article, then I'll tell you how to fade them out to a point where you would have to be looking for them to actually notice them.

Firstly, to prevent stretch marks while going through pregnancy, the solution is quite simply to pour some Johnsons or Boots baby oil into the bath while the hot water is running. Just a few generous squirts does fine and adding it while the hot water is running helps the oil to dilute into the bath before adding any cold. Once out the bath, rubbing cocoa butter into your skin helps the skin maintain its elasticity and prevents stretch marks from forming.

If you already have them then it is a little more difficult to shift them but by using the same technique as above, you'll find that they fade faster and eventually to the point of almost invisibility. I've had three children of my own and have never been left with any of the tell tale signs of pregnancy. I do admittedly have some very light marking around my hips but even I have to look hard to find them.

Stretch marks are a consequence of your body going through changes but at least now you can do something about them.
