Breast Cancer Symptoms

Breast Cancer has a few tell tale symptoms which can help you spot things early if the worst was ever to happen. The earliest and most common symptoms include a lump however this shouldn't be taken instinctively as a cancer as 90% of women do have, or do form strange but harmless lumps throughout their lifetime. From their teens through to a good ripe old age, we all get them.

Firstly, if you find, feel or notice anything out of the ordinary, don't panic. Lumps, sore nipples or hardening of the tissue around your breast can be the result of quite a few other things too however in saying that, if in doubt - always consult a GP and the earlier, the better.

Breast cancer symptoms include...

• Lumps or swelling of the tissue around your breast.
• Swelling or hardening of the tissue around your armpit.
• Rashes or inflammation on or around your nipple.
• Sinking or turning in of the nipple.
• Signs of blood leaking from the nipple area.
• Changes in the shape/size of the breast.
• Dimpling of skin tissue around the boobs.

Basically, even if you experience any of the symptoms above, do not automatically diagnose yourself with breast cancer as any of the above could be the result of numerous other things but do consult your doctor immediately. Although most lumps or swelling will turn out to be harmless cysts or an abnormal formation of glandular tissue, time is a critical factor and the sooner you get any concerns checked out the better - even if it's just for your own peace of mind.
